Turner Classic Movies has been running Cary Grant movies all day on account of it's his birthday. I hardly recognized any of the film titles, though. There are so many great films that would be perfect for today: Bringing up Baby, North By Northwest, An Affair to Remember, Notorious, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Philadelphia Story, The Bishop's Wife, Topper. But not one of those was on the schedule. It's a good thing I didn't have time to sit around and watch TCM today anyway, because if this had been a rainy, sleepy day, and if I had had a miserable cold and had been in need of old-movie comfort, I would have been left high and dry.
Today is also the birthday of Danny Kaye--if I only a had a copy of The Secret Life of Walter Middy.
